![]() Neon Drive brings you 7 amazing levels, adding up to hours of enjoyment. ![]() It's inspired by the arcade games of the 80's, but set against a futuristic backdrop of glowing cyber-grid, all in silky-smooth graphics. You've been warned.įrom beautiful cityscapes and ocean roads to exploding enemy spaceships, Neon Drive has it all. Minimum number of playthroughs: 4 of each levelĭoes difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, you must “master” each level on all difficulties.ĭo cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A, no cheats.Neon Drive is a slick retro-futuristic arcade game that will make your brain melt. Neon Drive is a tough as nails, 80's inspired arcade driving/rhythm/dodge-em-up game (yes, I may have made up that last genre). The visuals ooze style, the soundtrack is superb and the gameplay is tight, fast and frantic. While the game itself is short, the time you spend with it if you're aiming for 100% won't be the completion is a tough one, requiring you to learn and master every level to the point where you know them by heart. Step One - “Master” each level on all difficulties Best of luck to you if you're planning to tackle this one, persevere and enjoy the ride! It can be brutal, unforgiving and incredibly frustrating at times, but never unfair. The ultimate goal in this step is to unlock Superhuman, whilst acquiring a good majority of the game’s other trophies naturally along the way. You need to complete all 8 levels in the game, on all 3 difficulties, without using any checkpoints to do this. A number of trophies are tied to the completion of levels with checkpoints being allowed, and these will unlock as you progress towards the mastery of each level. I would highly recommend completely finishing everything within a level before progressing on to the next, as opposed to flitting around the levels haphazardly, which you’re able to do freely. To be crystal clear, what I mean by this is to complete and learn a level on all difficulties while using checkpoints, then aim to complete the level in a perfect run on all difficulties i.e. You can keep track of your progress via the level select screens when picking your difficulty, with a successful no-checkpoint run within a difficulty being indicated by stars next to its completion percentage. It’s extremely important for you to be aware that re-entering a difficulty once you’ve acquired the stars will reset their status, i.e. the game will think you haven’t completed a no-checkpoint run, meaning another perfect run will be needed to keep or reacquire them. ![]() Please refer to Superhuman for more information and general tips for the game. In theory, if you can complete each level on insane without using checkpoints, the endurance mode trophies should be a cinch. At this point you will likely know the levels inside out, and completing them back to back in the significantly slower normal mode shouldn’t give you any problems. In practice however, reaching the 15 minute goal and thereby unlocking all of Endurance Mode’s trophies will inevitably take you a very high number of attempts. It’s incredibly easy to make a mistake no matter how proficient you are at the game these trophies are a test of nerve and patience more than anything else. Try to keep your cool as best you can and put your accumulated knowledge of the levels to good use. More information can be found under Marathon. Simply reach the end of any 3 levels, using as many checkpoints as you need, on insane difficulty. It’s worth noting that you can play the levels in any order, so if you’re struggling to complete 1 level you’re free to choose another. (Both hard and insane difficulties are unlocked once you complete a level on normal). To “destroy” an arcade machine (the interface which represents a level and displays level progress) you need to complete a level on all 3 difficulties - normal, hard and insane - using as many checkpoints as you need. You’ll know when an arcade machine is destroyed because it will say 300% on the machine’s screen in the menus. Do this on all 8 levels and the trophy is yours. Once you complete a level on normal difficulty, both the hard and insane difficulties for that level are unlocked.
